CenCal Health (formerly the Santa Barbara Regional Health Authority) is a publicly sponsored health plan that provides health care coverage to over 105,000 low-income residents in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. CenCal Health has administered the Medi-Cal program in Santa Barbara County since 1983, and as of March 2008, began the administration of the Medi-Cal program in San Luis Obispo County as well.
