Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 per year plus Bonus Schedule: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon – Fri, Occasional weekend/evening hours Location: Santa Barbara, California (Hybrid) As the Chief Growth Officer, you will be the Chamber’s lead strategist for driving revenue growth, expanding membership, and positioning the organization for long-term sustainability. You will oversee teams, collaborate across all Chamber functions, and leverage data-drive insights and contemporary tools to achieve ambitious revenue and membership goals. You are a persuasive communicator, proven sales leader and a creative thinker who can adapt strategies to a changing business environment. What You’ll Do: • Envision, design, and implement innovative strategies to significantly increase Chamber Membership within five years • Represent the Chamber at events, board meetings, and in the community, serving as a persuasive and dynamic spokesperson to business leaders, community partners and stakeholders • Create and lead new member orientation events that foster immediate engagement; lead the redesign and creation of new Membership materials • Lead, coach and manage a sales team focused on advertising, sponsorships, membership outreach and renewals • Oversee revenue generating pipelines, set performance metrics, and ensure accountability for meeting and exceeding revenue targets • Serve as the Chamber’s chief sales strategist and closer for high-value members, partnerships, and sponsorships • Partner with staff and volunteers to identify and develop new revenue opportunities aligned with the Chamber’s mission • Redesign and grow current programs to establish them as signature revenue and networking opportunities • Work closely with Communications, Events, Public Policy and Operations to align growth initiatives with organizational priorities • Mobilize resources across departments to support membership development and revenue-generating activities What You’ll Need to Succeed: • Knowledge and critical thinking skills normally associated with a Bachelor’s Degree. • 10+ years of experience in a business development role • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue and membership goals • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire • Ability to creatively adapt to changing market and design forward-looking strategies • Experience leading both direct reports and indirect contributors, fostering accountability and collaboration • Strong ability to interpret market research and data, applying insights to strategy • Proficiency with CRM platforms, digital engagement tools, and emerging technologies • Chamber/Association experience preferred but not required What SBSCCC Offers You: • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage with 100% employer premium coverage • 100% employer premium coverage on Long Term Disability and Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching • 2 weeks of Vacation • 5 days of Sick Leave • 11 paid Holidays • Professional development opportunities Please note that these are just some potential examples, and the specific benefits and perks offered may vary based on the position and location.
