Visitor Services Sales & Marketing Manager

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year plus Bonus Schedule: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon – Fri, Occasional weekend/evening hours Location: Santa Barbara, California (Hybrid) As the Visitor Services Sales & Marketing Manager, you will play a central role in leading the strategic direction, promotion and revenue generation of visitor services across the Santa Barbara South Coast. You will be responsible for driving visibility and engagement for local businesses, attractions, and tourism partners. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of destination marketing expertise, strengthen your business development expertise, and contribute directly to strengthening the region’s tourism economy. What You’ll Do: • Oversee the marketing and communications strategy for Visitor Services • Develop and manage visitor engagement strategies • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, hospitality partners, and community organizations • Create new sales packages and promotions that align with visitor trends and Chamber initiatives • Lead advertising and sponsorship sales for visitor-facing products, promote and sell advertising opportunities in the Visitor Center • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all visitor touchpoints • Plan and execute seasonal campaigns and experiential activations that drive visitor engagement and economic impact • Represent the organization at tourism, hospitality, and community events, serving as a key liaison for visitor experience initiatives • Work with tourism partners and the city to align strategies and leverage cooperative marketing opportunities • Provide back-up support for the Visitor Center Manager as needed What You’ll Need to Succeed: • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality or related field (preferred). • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales, or event coordination, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry • Proven success in revenue generation through advertising, sponsorships or membership programs • Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to partners and boards What SBSCCC Offers You: • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage with 100% employer premium coverage • 100% employer premium coverage on Long Term Disability and Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching • 2 weeks of Vacation • 5 days of Sick Leave • 11 paid Holidays • Professional development opportunities Please note that these are just some potential examples, and the specific benefits and perks offered may vary based on the position and location.
