Administrative Office Professional

Administrative Office Professionals are often the face of the County of Santa Barbara. The Examples of Duties will vary by position/department but generally include the following. You will have direct interaction with the public by advising and/or guiding them to complete proper documents. Common responsibilities include clerical-based administrative functions; answering phones; processing and/or responding to email inquiries; accepting, recording, and routing materials that come into the department; and filing and retrieving records and documents. Use office software for data entry, document preparation, and email communication. Review and process documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures. Provide courteous customer service by responding to routine inquiries and requests. Organize and prioritize assigned work to meet deadlines and productivity expectations. Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain professional working relationships. Complete work under regular supervision and seek guidance when necessary.
