Senior Real Property Agent
The City of Santa Barbara Public Works Department is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Senior Real Property Agent. Develops documents related to the acquisition, management, lease, abandonment and sale of real property and easements including agreements, resolutions, reports, deeds and related documents. Negotiate and coordinate real property activities with a variety of parties including the public, agencies, consultants and City staff. Perform a variety of detailed and complex research on real property acquisition and sale; gather and compile data; review title, and determine vesting, easements, and appraised values. Participate in the review of real property maps to determine compliance with appropriate maps and laws to complete lot line adjustments, mergers, and certificates of compliance. Receive and respond to complaints and questions from the general public, staff and other parties relating to real property issues including easements, public property, encroachments, escrows, abandonment's, leases, public projects, private developments, surveys, land use and related activities; review problems and recommend corrective actions; prepare summary reports as required. Prepare comprehensive technical records and reports pertaining to assigned area of responsibility; conduct research and comprehensive data collection efforts to support analysis.
